I like Tango better...........Seville, day 2

We crossed the city of Seville to find a highly talked about free Flamenco performance. Not Tango, that is Argentine, but Flamenco, Spanish. We bought our obligatory drink and crowded in the bar to see a guitar player, singer and Flamenco dancer. The guitar player was amazing at fingerwork, classical notes and clarity. The singer strained to sing the loud, sad, Spanish words that must have meant something very serious. The veins in his neck poked out and sweat ran down his face as he bellowed out the lyrics. The woman dancer was a large breasted, small hipped lady, about 50. She never smiled once. Her dancing movements were abrubt and fierce. She seemed angry and frustrated and I decided I didn't like this Flamenco tradition very well.

In Argentina, the Tango is like watching two beautiful lovers engaged in an act of near sex. The music is often an orchestra which compliments the moves of the dancers. Flamenco seems angry and depressing............I don't know if I have the will power to give it another chance or not.
