The town of Ronda, like Rhonda

Oh my gosh, the most amazing day yet! We bussed from Seville to Ronda for a day trip, to the small city we had heard was a must.

The drive itself was awesome, across Spain's countryside, hills and dry lands. I saw old stone castles, sheep, palatial farms and greenery. After so much "City" it was refreshing. We came in to Ronda and nearly hit a motorcycle.............suprisingly that has not happened more often..

The town of Ronda is pure bliss. White stucco houses and buildings built on hillsides and small tiled streets. Yes, it was touristy, but oh so pretty. The main attraction is a bridge that was built in the 1700's and is as tall as the Statue of Liberty. It connects two parts of town together. You will see by the pictures, the amazing work that was done. The town itself is on cliffs and you can see the valleys around the area from all angles.

Molly and I found a trail and hiked down towards the river under the bridge as far as we could. It was a little hard going down, and the heat of the day made the trek back up slow. We took some amazing pictures and once back up, headed down the other side to do it again........ We hiked and walked almost 6 hours that day.....my feet were very tired and sore. Thank goodness I decided on the Chacos! I don't know how some of these Spanish women wear such fancy, high, pointy shoes......even on the cobblestone streets......it is an amazing phenomenon.
